Is this thing ridiculous, or is it disturbing?

Apparently, there's a lawsuit currently going on at Washburn University, in Topeka (Kansas). (That's right, the Kansans are at it again.) This sculpture, called Holier Than Thou, is described by the plaintiffs as "hostile" to Roman Catholics and they are seeking to have it removed from a local college campus. (The sculptor, Jerry Boyle, incidentally describes himself as a devout Catholic.) The Thomas More center, who has extensively supported the Intelligent Design movement, is supporting this lawsuit.
